Frequently Asked questions
Do I need to have prior Pilates experience to join your classes?
No! At CA Sculpt Pilates, we welcome clients of all fitness levels, whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner. For beginners, we recommend starting with the foundational classes (ie. Reform 1, Flex & Core, and Restore & Stretch classes). Our instructors will guide you through the process, and we offer modifications to ensure you feel comfortable and challenged.
What types of Pilates classes do you offer?
We offer a range of Pilates classes, including group reformer sessions, private and semi-private lessons, and specialized workouts to address individual fitness goals. Whether you prefer a more personal training approach or the energy of a group class, we have something for everyone.
Are your Pilates classes suitable for people with injuries or health concerns?
Yes, Pilates is gentle on the body and can be very effective for rehabilitation or injury prevention. Our instructors are trained to modify exercises based on individual needs and limitations, helping you regain strength and mobility safely. Always consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new fitness routine.
What should I bring to my first Pilates class?
Please bring comfortable workout clothes that allow for movement. Grip socks are required and can be purchased at the studio. We provide all necessary equipment, including reformers and mats, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Water and a positive attitude are always welcome!
How often should I practice Pilates for the best results?
For optimal results, we recommend practicing Pilates at least two to three times per week. Consistency is key, and you'll start to notice improvements in strength, flexibility, and overall well-being with regular attendance.
Do you offer private Pilates sessions?
Yes, we offer private Pilates sessions tailored to your individual fitness needs and goals. Private sessions are perfect if you prefer personalized attention or are working toward a specific injury rehabilitation or fitness goal.

Additionally, a late cancellation fee of $25 will apply.
Styku Scan Cancellation: If you cancel within 2 hours of your scheduled appointment, a late cancellation fee of $25 will apply.
What is your membership cancellation policy?

The cancellation will take effect at the end of the billing cycle following the next scheduled payment. The cancellation notice must include the member’s full name and membership details. Memberships will remain active, and charges will continue until the end of the final billing cycle. Any scheduled payments during this time will still be processed. Please note that refunds for unused classes or sessions during this period are not provided.
Can I still join classes if I am pregnant?
To ensure your safety and well-being, we have a few important requirements before you begin or continue your Pilates practice with us.
1. Medical Clearance Required All pregnant clients must submit a doctor's note clearing them for Pilates and physical activity. Please take a photo of the note and email it to info@casculptpilates.com. We cannot allow participation in group classes or private sessions until we receive this clearance.
2. Required Prenatal Private Session. Before joining any group classes, all pregnant clients must complete a required prenatal private session. This session is designed to teach you essential modifications for a safe and effective Pilates practice during pregnancy. After completing your private session(s) and with instructor approval, you may attend Reform 1, or Restore & Stretch classes only until the end of your 21st week of pregnancy (mid-second trimester).
Why the private session is essential:
You will learn key modifications needed to move safely and effectively during your pregnancy.
Our instructors will assess your individual movement patterns, postural needs, and any pre-existing conditions.
It allows time to discuss any pregnancy-specific concerns and to customize your plan accordingly.
You'll gain confidence in how to adapt exercises in a group class setting, which is crucial for avoiding strain or injury.
We can ensure that your Pilates practice supports your changing body, energy levels, and trimester-specific needs.
3. Group Class Limitations After 21 Weeks. After the 21st week of pregnancy, group classes are no longer permitted. If cleared by your physician and one of our instructors, you may continue your practice through private sessions only for the remainder of your pregnancy.
4. Existing Clients Who Become Pregnant. If you are an existing client who has taken 30 or more classes at CA Sculpt Pilates and become pregnant during your practice, our instructor may allow you to continue group classes through the 21st week without a prenatal private, depending on your movement history and condition. However, you will still require medical clearance and switching to Reform 1, or Restore & Stretch classes only.
5. Inactivity Prior to Pregnancy. If you have been inactive (no exercise) for some time and are already pregnant, or have never done Pilates, we follow general fitness industry guidelines recommending that you do not start a new exercise regimen during pregnancy. In this case, we advise waiting until after childbirth to begin a Pilates program, unless your doctor explicitly clears you to begin sooner.
